The LO1 indicator controls the logic and execution rules for the strategy. While the default settings are designed to be safe and effective for most traders, understanding how the key settings work will help you adapt the system to your account size and risk tolerance.
Key Settings Overview #
The most important settings inside the indicator fall into three categories:
- Range Logic
- The system identifies a defined overnight price range and trades breakout reactions once the market opens. The quality of the range and the conditions during range formation are critical to strategy performance.
- Recent versions of LO1 include improved range validation to prevent trading during abnormal volatility conditions.
- Risk & Position Sizing
- Risk is controlled through the Daily Loss Limit (DLL) and Auto Risk Management Mode, which automatically sizes contracts relative to account risk.
- This allows the strategy to maintain consistent risk across accounts of different sizes.
- Directional Filtering
- LO1 includes a trend filter that allows trades only in the direction of the prevailing market trend. Historically, counter-trend breakouts have produced the majority of losses, so filtering these trades improves consistency.
Optimization Tips #
For most traders, the recommended approach is to use the default tested settings. However, the following adjustments may be useful:
- Adjust Daily Loss Limit to match your prop firm or personal risk rules
- Confirm that news blocks match your trading schedule
- Ensure the Auto Range Sizer is enabled for wider-range sessions
Recent system improvements allow LO1 to trade wider ranges that were previously skipped, capturing additional profitable sessions while maintaining controlled risk.
#
- * Always update the indicator when a new version is released
- * After updating, re-save your TradingView alert
- * Avoid changing multiple settings at once when testing

Do I need to optimize settings regularly?
No. The system is designed to work using the tested defaults. Frequent optimization often reduces robustness.
Why did a session not trade?
The strategy may skip sessions due to news blocks, abnormal range spikes, or trend filter restrictions.
Do updates change my settings?
Usually no. However, when a new version adds features, you should confirm that the new defaults are enabled.
Why must I recreate the alert?
TradingView alerts are tied to a specific script version. When the script updates, the alert must be refreshed.
