Vantage LO1 Product Features & FAQ

Vantage LO1 is a licensed, modular trading software system that uses a London session lookback to inform breakout behavior during the New York session. LO1 delivers a disciplined, rules-based framework designed to operate consistently across prop firm evaluations and personal trading accounts.

Vantage LO1 is designed to operate on most personal and prop firm brokerage accounts that support execution through Tradovate or Rithmic via compatible third-party platforms. Not all brokerages or prop firms permit automated trading or external execution workflows.

LO1 may always be used as a visual indicator for discretionary trade placement. Automation features require a compatible TradingView subscription and supported execution infrastructure.

Vantage LO1 is a licensed, modular trading software system designed to support rules-based breakout trading in the futures markets. It uses a structured London session lookback to inform execution during the New York session and is built to operate consistently across both prop firm and personal trading accounts. LO1 is trading software only. It does not provide financial advice, trade recommendations, or discretionary account management.

LO1 is designed specifically for YM (Dow Jones Futures) and MYM (Micro Dow Futures). These markets were selected because they offer:

  • Consistent liquidity during U.S. market hours
  • Clear session structure
  • Tight spreads relative to volatility
  • Reliable execution across both prop firm and personal accounts

While no market is without risk, YM and MYM provide a balance of structure and movement that aligns well with LO1’s rules-based design.

LO1 operates on TradingView and supports execution environments connected through Tradovate and Rithmic via compatible third-party platforms.

Most personal brokerages and many prop firms that support TradingView, Tradovate, or Rithmic are compatible. However, not all brokerages or prop firms permit automated trading or external execution tools.

In all cases, LO1 may be used as a visual indicator for discretionary trade placement, even if automation is restricted.

Nope. Automation is optional.

You may:

  • Use LO1 as a visual indicator and place trades manually, or;
  • Configure automation using TradingView alerts and TradersPost

Automation requires:

  • A paid TradingView Premium subscription (alerts are not available on the free plan) and a paid TradersPost subscription. See below for more information about automation tools and costs.
  • A compatible brokerage or prop firm environment

Aside from your Vantage LO1 subscription, typical requirements may include:

  • TradingView
    • Free plan works for visual use
    • a paid Premium Plan (roughly $50/month) is required for alerts and automation
  • Third-party execution platform (e.g., TradersPost)
    • Pricing varies by number of connections, starting at $49/month
  • Brokerage or prop firm account
Personal cash accounts or supported prop firm accounts

Many traders are able to run the same stack we use to run automations for approximately $100 per month, excluding their LO1 subscription and any prop firm evaluation fees.

LO1 is designed for traders who want structure and rules, but it does not require advanced coding or engineering experience.

That said, users should:

  • Understand basic futures concepts
  • Be comfortable managing risk
  • Be willing to read documentation and follow setup instructions

LO1 is not a “set it and forget it” product. It is a professional tool designed to support disciplined trading, not replace trader responsibility.

Most users can complete initial setup in 30–90 minutes, depending on their experience and whether they are configuring automation. If you’re brand new to TradingView and TradersPost, plan for a bit more time — our onboarding guides and video walkthroughs are there to help.

Setup typically includes:

  • Installing the indicator or strategy on TradingView
  • Reviewing configuration options
  • (Optional) Connecting alerts to an execution platform

Comprehensive written guides and videos are included.

Yes. LO1 is informed by extensive research, historical backtesting, and forward testing. Join our Discord server, where we post backtesting and forward testing results.

Testing focuses on:

  • Structural consistency
  • Risk-adjusted behavior
  • Operational reliability across environments

Past performance, whether simulated or live, is not indicative of future results, and no guarantees of profitability are made.

LO1 includes context-aware safeguards designed to account for:

  • Scheduled economic news
  • Market holidays
  • Periods of abnormal liquidity

These safeguards are designed to help avoid structurally unfavorable environments, but they cannot eliminate risk or prevent losses.

LO1 is designed with prop firm constraints in mind, including drawdown limits and payout rules.

However:

  • Passing an evaluation is not guaranteed
  • Results vary by trader, firm, market conditions, and risk settings
  • All trading decisions remain the responsibility of the user

Some users have progressed from funded accounts to payout eligibility in as little as 15 days, but this is not typical or guaranteed. Some prop firms offer accelerated payout eligibility programs with shorter minimum day requirements. Eligibility timelines, terms, and conditions vary significantly by firm and program type. Always refer to your specific prop firm’s current rules for accurate details. Vantage Stack does not guarantee evaluation outcomes or payout eligibility under any timeline.

This depends on your prop firm, account size, and how you configure LO1 — but we can give you a data-informed picture based on 50,000 simulated trading scenarios using LO1’s historical performance.

The simulation results at a  Daily Loss Limit (DLL) setting of $1,500:

  • Median: ~6.5 months to first payout eligibility
  • 80% of accounts: within ~8 months
  • At DLL $2,000: median drops to ~4.8 months with minimal additional risk

What does that look like with a real prop firm?

As a concrete example, Tradeify — one of the prop firms our members use — structures their evaluations roughly like this:

Account SizeProfit TargetMonthly Fee
$50K~$3,000 (6%)~$169/month
$100K~$6,000 (6%)~$259/month

Minimum trading day requirements and drawdown rules vary by program — always check your specific firm’s current rules before starting.

The bottom line: Based on our simulation data, members using LO1 at recommended settings are typically positioned to reach payout eligibility within 6–9 months on a standard evaluation account — but this is highly dependent on your configuration, the market environment, and your specific firm’s rules.

For more information, please see our Roadmap to Profitability guide that will walk through account sizing strategies, payout timelines, and how you might scale.

Important: The timeframes above are based on Monte Carlo simulations using historical LO1 performance data and are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not a guarantee, projection, or promise of future results. Individual results will vary based on market conditions, account configuration, prop firm rules, and trading execution. The majority of retail traders lose money. Nothing here constitutes financial advice. Past simulated performance is not indicative of future results.
